don't know what's wrong

I have a 1992 Sho that bogs downs when you give it gas after it finally seems to get enough gas it runs fine until you sift gears again. I have already replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, the mass air flow sensor and nothing has helped when I put on the new mass air sensor it ran good for about five mins then when back to junk. I had a diagnostic done and no codes came up. I have asked many mechanics and none of them have a clue I was wondering if any one had any ideas. Thanks.

I'm not quite sure what you mean - when you go WOT, it seems to speed up slowly until it gets moving? Try not going WOT, give it say 3/4 throttle and gradually increase. Sometimes this gives me better acceleration than just stomping on the pedal.

Or, what gear are you in? And are you on a hill? If you're in a higher gear, and whack the throttle, you'll hear a roar as the engine is being loaded down. Try a lower gear. That may be all there is to it! thumbs_u

Gonna need some more info here. Does it only seem to run properly approaching 4k rpms? Could be the secondaries stuck open. Then again could be plugs and wires. Need some more info to make more informed trouble shooting tips.

Plugged cats are easy enough to diagnose. Here's how a local muffler shop in my area does it.
They remove the converter/y-pipe from the car and use a leaf blower to force air through the cats/y-pipe and listen for a change in pitch from the blower. If the pitch increases substantily than your cats are plugged/restricted.
Decidedly low-tech but thats what they do. I think most muffler shops will do this for a fee. But beware! In my area they will tell you to get new cats based on the age/mileage of the vehicle.

TPS could also cause a problem. As far as plugged cats, use a vacuum gauge. Disable the ignition (or unplug the computer) attach the vacuum gauge to where the FPR vacuum hose attaches to the intake and crank. You should see atleast 1 to 2 inches of mercury. if more thats okay, if none than cats are clogged.

They use a leaf blower???!!! Why not just shoot a laser-temp reader at those bad boys. If they're plugged, they'll be glowing cherry.
