Hey folks I found this site looking for strut replacements. Sensatracs for $10 - $15. Short coming you need a $500 min order plus shipping and they only had 6 fronts at the time. Didn't check on rears. Lots of other car parts but I still didn't get to $500. Anyone want a group order?

If the struts and things are that cheap, I may be interested in adding some things to the total order. I'll have to look at the whole list when I'm done with work.

That's to "secure" an order of at least $1000. I don't see anyone doing that for 6 SHO struts! Anyhow, I think I found my next job!

I read all 36 pages of Taurus goodies and could only spend about $100, and that's ordering 10 filters and 4 serpentine belts. Who is going to co-ordinate this? It will not be easy, but well worth it if it could be done right. I would sure pay for the privilege. The savings on the struts alone are unbelievable!

There's not going to be anyone willing to pay $1000 in parts and resell the SHO parts at the same cost to others who are interested. If someone is going to buy that much, there's going to be some mark up. It takes money to make money.

Edit: And if it's a business buying, you bet the price is going up. When you buy something of that quanity, you have to have somewhere to store it until all is sold. When living in the business world, you would know that space does not come free and there are prices to pay, plus the extra expense of running the company, workers, and ect. Time is money and is not going to be free.

This is the only way I could afford Sensatracs, and they are good shocks. :thumb: Keep us posted.

I would definently be down for four of those(2 front and 2 rear). I still got to look through and see what else I would want.

edit.....I went through and I think I may spend around $100 or $80

I know I'll be picking up a lot of those Taurus parts!

Turns out you have to pay the initial $500 up front because their warehouse is over 1 million square feet and it takes a lot of time.

I did a little checking too, the master cylinders looked to be a good deal at $33.
I was thinkin of picking one of those up too, but the prices I found for them were cheaper. They were probably a different brand.

Another thought, I guess this stuff is all 'buyer beware'. Gee, on ebay at least we usually get a picture and a feedback rating...

If peopel are serious about doing this I'd be happy to coordinate some sort of bulk purchase for everyone.

What I'd suggest doing is all interested parties pm me or make a new thread with a wish list and price. We'll total everything up and I'll order all the parts at once. When they come in I'll divide them up into correct orders and ship everything out at the buyers expense (my own cost.)

All I'd ask in return is 5-10% to handle my labor and time. This appears to be a great resource and if we can take advantage we could all save a lot of money.

I'm the manager of a wholesale auto parts store and these prices destroy anything I could get even with my discounts.

p.s. I'm sure the shipping charge will be crazy also as i'm ordering some large pieces. We'll figure out something fair on shipping though once we get some committed buyers.

There are pictures for some, you can see the front Taurus strut, too.

It wouldnt make sense to create a website of that caliber if it wasnt legit. The prices do make ya wonder, but I wouldnt worry. The reason why its so easy on ebay to scam people, is because theres no time or money involved in putting up the auction.

You shouldn't. Just take the price of the struts for instance, what was it, like $10. Now you sell them to a retailer, they have to pay shipping on it to their warehouse, now that probably makes each one around $17 at least. They then have to ship them to their stores, costing more money, say $25. Now, the store has to pay the cost of the property it is working off, the cost of electricity, the cost of water, the workers pay, and still needs to have a profit, so they now charge $55 and offer a lifetime warranty, too. If they couldn't buy it for that cheap wholesale, they would be losing money. It's nothing that would make you second guess, it's common sense.
