My 95 has a mangled DIS module and the wiring connector on the windshield side of the DIS module is mangled as well. The module has cracks in the plastic material on the left side and the wiring connector shroud is broke. It has made contact with the shock tower during a subframe lowering to change the steering rack.
Odd thing is, it runs fine with this visible damage.
I am wondering if I sealed the damage properly with a silicone product and then sealed the wire connector to module interface, would this be a permanent solution.
Has anyone repaired a module this way?

inside the shroud is a rubber band type thing that is the connector seal. if that is still there and covered by the shroud, then it should still seal. if not, some silicone would be a very good idea.

All of the electronics are sealed in a gooey encapsulant that also isolates it from moisture and shock. Seal up the outside hard casing and call it a day. The seal in the two connectors is very important, keeps moisture off of the pins.
