Did not pass emission test

OBD test result- FAIL, code P1518.
What's wrong? Secondary works, I can hear it, can see it!
I reset computer, but the code keeps comming!
Can I just disconect wire to the box? Will it help?
Any ideas how to fix it?

DTCs P1518, P1537 and P1538 indicate IMRC is stuck open.

Probably have some carbon built up preventing the plates from closing.

Thanks, I got some help from v8sho mailing list too. Intake is clean, was welded and cleaned by Eric a couple months ago (2K miles ago)

Even though your intake may be clean now, there's a good chance that either your IMRC cable was frayed from before the cleaning and broke just from the effort required to open the IMRC. Alternately, a gear tooth may be broken inside the box which could cause the position sensor on the cable to read that the butterflies are not closing all the way even when they are.

Good luck! I fought the IMRC battle about this time last year!

Thanks, it's done EM-Pass! It was broken cable inside the box, but still good to work.
