Did my upper 60K tonight (pics)
ALL of the shims in my 165,000 mile 3.0 were in spec! Wow!
The plugs, on the other hand, looked like crap. VC leak, and something else too...
The other thing was this- well, these. Please people, don't use these non-sealing crappers! There was a gap of about 1/32 to 1/16 on 4 of the boots. There was as much sand and crap in the wells as there was oil from the VC gaskets- it took me 4 cans of brake cleaner, and a shop vac to get it all out!
the SHO is happy now- if only my wires will show up tomorrow BEFORE the holiday weekend!
