Back in Michigan ... again.
With spring just around the corner and some good weather finally upon us here in the Great Lakes, it's time to start thinking about getting your rides all cleaned up from the winter months, and I'm the man to help you out, from minor detailing to serious compounding/refinishing.

Same deal as in the past; here's the service breakdowns & prices:

Basic: $90 for a high-speed glaze/wax that will remove most contaminents and very minor scratches. I'll also polish wheels, exhaust tips, dress your tires and trim.

Moderate: $130 for a compound/glaze/wax that will remove minor-moderate scratches, remove all contaminents and blend the finish for a smooth surface. Once again, I"ll dress the tires & trim, polish tips, wheels, etc.

Comprehensive Refinish: Price dependent on vehicle condition, will NOT exceed $200. This service will include wet sanding as needed to remove a variety of paint defects such as runs, damaged paint, orange peel, etc. That work is then followed up by everything done in the moderate detail, and will also include headlight refinishing if needed.

And if you think you just need to get your car repainted, TALK TO ME before making that decision! I may be able to save you some cash by wet sanding & buffing your car back to a decent shine. Many people who think they need a new paint job have been totally surprised at how well their existing finish looks after a comprehensive refinish.

And new for this year, the budget detail: $60 for a quick, single-stage orbital glaze. This is more of a "freshen", as I'm only using a low-speed orbital, but it will remove common contaminents picked up over the winter months, and give you a nice shine in the process. I recommed this for the enthusiast who already has a finish in pretty good shape, with just minor swirling. It will NOT remove scratches or fix other paint defects. However, if you're on a budget and have some damaged paint, this service is still preferable to just a wash & wax!

As of right now, this is a mobile service only. I'll come to you as I don't presently have a shop. However, you'll need to either have a garage (preferably) or at least an electrical outlet for me to plug into. The only exception to this is the $60 budget detail, which I can do anywhere. For people not in the SE Michigan area, there will be a $10 fuel charge per every 60 miles from me.

For those wanting some interior cleaning done, I'm skilled there as well. I don't typically do that sort of work, but I'd be happy to help for a nominal charge, depending on how much of a pig you are  Carpet cleaning, windows, dash & seats, the whole 10 yards.

At this point, I'm free every weekend for the forseeable future, and actually I'll have a 3 day weekend coming this next weekend (friday-sunday). Make your appointments soon!

And lastly, as always, $10 of EVERY job done will go right to the forum, so SHO your support and sport a spiffy ride this year! Furthermore, if you refer me to someone or mention me on another forum, I'll give YOU a $5 spiff for every job I do because of it.

Once I law my hands on a new green bumper cover I'd probably be in for the comprehensive refinish.

Want to find me a green bumper cover Chris? I'll even pay you to throw it on. :thumb:

Doh, should've been clearer. That's $10 PER every 60 miles. So if you're 2500 miles, that comes to around $416

Yeah I could throw it on for you Matt. And let me tell you something ... the green that everyone hates because it's so common looks AMAZING when it's actually buffed up to what it should be. It takes on a pearlescent tone.

Yes, I remember that before the elements/MI-drivers took their tole on the paint. :frown:

Still just need to locate a bumper cover, so if you come across one in good condition, let me know asap. Possibly even a hood too (mine needs a repaint badly, don't know how much that would run though).

I'll probably try to get the comprehensive deal.... I won't be back until Mar 24, but I'll try to schedule one for like 2-3 weeks after that weekend? If that works...

Thank you so much. I'd buy you guys a round of drinks for the help, but that's still a little hard to pull off. Maybe this summer.

I'm still planning on coming to town on monday so I'll see you guys then.

Probably going to have my neighbor throw some paint on that bumper, and if I have enough cash left I'm having Chris make my car pretty for the summer.

Chris' handywork is very superb! I remember when he worked his mojo on my first SHO back in '02. Not the highest quality pics, but you should get the idea.

Chris, next time I'm up in Michigan, I'm buying you lunch. But since I'm never up there, I guess that won't happen. :p
