Eric i posted this befor i did on facebook. but yeah your right. Dude i called 3 people with sho's and they said they hd never seen them before, i have never seen them before. and i have taken apart numerous intakes. I had no clue that they were factory.

the length of the runners 'tunes' the intake to the rpms where the torque peaks occur.

if you remove those horns, you shorten the short runners, raising the rpm where the 2nd torque peak occurs. unless you have a good reason to remove them, you should leave them in, because for the most part you do not want to raise the rpm of the 2nd torque peak.
