Delete sun visors

Hey everyone. I am getting the headliner and carpet replaced due to intense smoke smell and recently remembered the sun visors. They are indeed smelly. The upholstery shop said the can recover both for $175 and I see you can still order new ones from Ford for about $125/per. But I am just wondering can I delete them? I never use them, they are not legally required and due to my 6' 5" height when they are down I can't see out the windshield very good. I always have my sunglasses with me anyway.

Would there be holes/bumps left in the headliner if they were not there? They are going to be removed anyway.
