Why taking apart my 3.0 motor i bought from mark nunnaly i have discovered a few mods on it which some of significance and some questionable but this is by far the coolest/wierdest and maybe the most useless thing i have seen and is not sure if they work. wondering if anybody has seen anything like this. They dont seem to be homemade but if they were they are extreamly good quality cause the welds are about perfect, and the end of them are flared. anyway here are the pics.

Every horn is facing in the direction of the throttle body.
Mine has them also Zach, there stock and are used to help funnel air to the secondaires.

I was wondering also what are the gains/loses to taking them out of a stock motor.

I think they cut down air turbulance in the tanks to direct more air to the secondaires, but i'm not expert Zach.

It's about at the same level as removing the saxocone/silencer for performance reasons.

It's strange though, if they're so minor, why install them in the first place? You'd think Ford would want to save the dollar or two per car these undoubtedly cost to manufacture and install.
