95MTx with 60K. On cold starts, it leaks less than a taplespoon of coolant, then stops when it warms up. Only place I can detect mositure is drivers side dripping off the cowling around radiator. Can't see where it's coming from. Radiator replaced at 37K. Anyone else ever have this problem?

The plastic radiator endtank is leaking. The seals in the ends of the radiator shrink a bit, and leak while cold. Once they warm up they seal right back up. You can try recrimping the end tanks with a set of vise grips. The only other option is replacement.

Thanks for the input. Does radiator have to be removed to attempt to re-crimp? Assuming it does.

I guess if I am gonna go to that much trouble I'll just put a new one in. Think that'll fix it?

thanks

Yep, that will take care of it.

Get a radiator with a lifetime warranty, because chances are it will fail again (unless you find an all-metal construction radiator like the SHO Shop sells). They want a lot of money for their radiator, however.

If you are getting a new one I would crimp it before putting it in. If your radiator now is not in that bad of shape I would just crimp it. If it leaks still then order a new one.

Be sure not to crimp it to much.
