Classes:
Well, that's a screw-up on my part. DOH!

I had Non-SHO, All Years as the 4th class one spot, but I may have had the placques done up as Ford, Non-SHO, All Years. I'll know early this week when they arrive.

Date is hard-set at Sunday, June 27, 2004.

Have a bunch of planning to do, but here's some suggestions:

1) Run it, Pull it, Push it, whatever it takes, get your SHO there. It doesn't matter what condition, let's make this one heck of a turnout.

2) Food: it's going to be BBQ, and I'll know what the food's going to cost this week. Depending on that will determine what, if any cost there'll be to cover it. I'm hoping to make this a NO-COST event for folks, but we're going to have to see. Non-Members may pay a token fee for food, I don't know. We have to make it worthwhile to be a member somehow. Again, we'll see. Big thing - turnout.

3) Location: See the website, or the link I posted for directions to Sinclair. We've got ample parking for over 50 cars, so that's not going to be an issue. Basically, if you show up, you're in the showfield. :)

4) Anything else, shoot me an email this week, and we'll see you guys on Sunday.

Oh... so mean there isn't going to be an award for the best "keyed" paint job? I prolly would have won that one hands down. :snicker:

so is there going to be an award for gimpiest sho? I could win that easily, I need a new ccrm, my right rear control arm got bent thanx to the idiot who towed me, my brakes are screwy(gotta get that fixed soon though, insp is up this month) resulting in crazy brakedust on the poor gun metal slicers :frown: (anyone have any recommendations for how to clean that up good?), and the list goes on.. I say we need a saddest of show too ;)

Well, you could very well win the awards for your class - it's peer judging, so all you need to do is get people to vote for you. Get a sympathy poster going, and who knows?

Please vote for me, I need to buy new parts, so I'd have the plaque melted down for scrap to pay for parts... :)

Haha, good call..but who's gonna donate the poster for me? I saw a homeless guy the other day with one of those 'will work for food' signs, maybe I can find him again and give him a snickers to make me an authentic pity poster :D

Heh if the award was going to stay non-SHO Ford, there would be very small competition for me. Chris B's ranger (if he is coming), and Chop's SLO are the only 2 that come to mind :****:

Ok Guys, I've just bought food (Burgers, dogs, chips), plates, cups, soda, etc. for 50 attendees. If we need more, the store's right down the street. The placques should be here today or tomorrow, and I'm seeing to the chairs, tables & Porta-***** tomorrow. As of right now, the weather looks good for this weekend. Let's hope it holds!

Great Alex, look forward to seeing you there!

Ok the placques came in today, and they look great, except they made a mistake on the thing (on all of them)...

Instead of "Northeast SHO Club Car Show", it's "Northeast Car Show". Deal. :)

Also, I did spec it out on the plaques as "All Ford, All Years" for the 4th category, so it looks like the awards will be along those lines. Sorry, that was my mistake with the conflicting description. If enough non-Fords show, I'll whip out the duct tape & a marker & fix it real easy.

I have an estimated 25-28 replies, hopefully another 10-20 attendees who aren't here will be coming in as well.

Fred, I know that there was a link for directions. I can't seem to find it anymore. Could you please repost? Thanks.

Ok folks, here's the final scoop (I hope). :)

Award Plaques: $117
Food: $225 (Estimated, will find out actual total cost on pickup Sunday)
Chairs & Tables: $121
Porta-*****: $130

There are some other minor items (propane for the grills, etc), but that's pretty much the costs involved. NESHOC has given me $200 for the event, so a good amount is out of pocket at this point. I'm going to ask for a voluntary contribution of $5 per lunch participant. BY NO MEANS do I want someone to not attend because they can't afford the $5. If you can swing it, I appreciate it, but if you can't, don't worry about it.

Thanks all, and see you on Sunday!

Well for a little while there I didn't think I was going to make it Sunday due to the issues my car had last night (see Emergency Issues thread :) ). But thanks to 95silvermtx the car seems to be running again! :D Barring any other issues that might develop (hopefully none!) I'll be there.

Fred, I have a full tank of propane I would like to donate. Its the quick disconnect type not the screw type. If you can use it, I will bring it.

SHO gets you in the car show, Bimmer gets you in the upper parking lot. :)

Obviously, being a SHO car show, I'd personally rather have the SHO attend... but either way please attend. Thanks!
