thats the dis opp side or trottle body and you dont want paint where it mounts down it needs good ground. and your wires may be no good or firing order is off .

The DIS ignition module. It needs a good ground as said, so if there is paint it may not be grounded properly.

no the cylinder looking tube across from tb thx

I believe you're referring to the Idle /Air Control Module (pictured below). I don't believe this is contributing to your power loss. Did you replace the gaskets when you reinstalled your intake? This may be the culprit, but I would suggest getting new plug wires as well.

Wait, I just re-read your first post. You said that you painted over the area where the IAC bolts on? Did you just leave the module off then? If so, that would definitely be your problem :bonk: FYI, the SHO will run with the MAF unplugged, but it's probably not a good idea to leave it like that...

Pulling the codes may not be a bad idea.

Another idea is to get some starter fluid from Advanced or Autozone or whatever (less than 2$ a can) and spray around the ISC, snake boots and runner gaskets. If you have a vac leak hidden somewhere it tends to suck in the starter fluid and cause the idle to rise a little bit. Decent method for searching out vac leaks.

Have you confirmed the secondaries are closing? At engine-off they will be open, but close upon seeing vac below 4-ish (is it 4300 or 4 even?). Always possible when hooking the intake back up a line got pinched or didnt get connected. Granted, I disconnected mine on purpose just to get and idea as to the "feel" and it didnt bog.. but it did feel sluggish.

Jes my amatuer opinions.

Really though, if your plug wires came apart, they could be the culprit, heh.

no iac is installed

Erm.. I'd install one and see what happens.

Forgot to tell you that I removed my intake horns, and that I regret it. I'm planning to make time to re-install regardof it's the real problem. My secondaries are good, I ran the codes. Check the help thread. Thanks. Yo.

When you remove the cone from the air box you will get a bogging sound, not a feeling. The feelings are phsycologoical. The problems that already exsisted you now get to hear.
