For my 94 MTX:
I had autozone run my codes (I was in the area) b/c the ford dealership informed me that since fuse #5 keeps blowing, it should be throwing a code. (I was thinking the computer would only throw codes for sensors, systems, etc.)
So anyway, I am getting 528 and 542. From the shophoenixproject website:
528 (M) System shows voltage at pin 10 (is A/C on ?) or pin 30 (PNP, CPP switch) - PNP
542 (O,M) Fuel pump open, bad ground or always on - - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits
I also had AZ print out what their system has for the description of the codes. I can post those if needed (kinda long).
I believe 528 points to my clutch switch. (my clutch switch has been broke...aka you can start the car without pressing the clutch pedal down)
Would either of these codes point to why fuse #5 keeps blowing? It mentions that the ECM may be bad from one of the codes.
I dont like mechanical problems, but I HATE electrical problems. Please help!
(Fuse #5 controls the turn signals, eatc, reverse lights, and rear defrost....all of which stop working when the fuse goes south.)
