The ECT sensor is a two-wire sensor that is threaded into the coolant manifold near the thermostat housing.

Back in Michigan ... again.
If you're standing on the driver side of the engine bay looking straight down at the throttle body, the coolant temp sensor will be under and to the right of the TB. It can be a little tricky to get to and you'll need a deep well socket to take it off.

Before you go doing that swap however, you may want to recheck codes. An ECT code can be set if the car isn't up to operating temperature. I've found that the aftermarket ECT sensors don't last extremely long so provided it's the factory sensor I wouldn't replace it unless you had to.
