Well folks.. was having a great night at Kalamazoo Speedway and then all **** broke loose.

Quick update.. K-Zoo has a new class this year called "Cyber Stock". I know, not a cool name, but it wasn't my decision and it is what it is. This is a FWD V-6 class, very similar to the class I run at Springport.

Since Springport doesn't open till this Saturday Night, I decided to run over to K-Zoo and give things a try.

A buddy of mine went with me with his car (a 94 Dodge Intrepid 3.5) and we arrived after qualifying had already completed and had to start the heats in the rear.. he started shotgun on heat 1, I started shotgun on heat 2. Having never been on the track before, we laid back a bit on the start.. got the feel for the track and then started going forward. I finished 3rd, he finished 4th.. we both had the fastest laps of our heat.

Heading into the feature, we were feeling good.. we started the feature 13th and 14th (due to not qualifying, back of the field) and by lap 4 we were in 6th and 8th place and quickly moving toward the front.

Then it happen.. car sputtered and stopped running. It would roll over but not fire. I got pushed back into the pits. I checked gas it was okay, fuel filter was okay, fuel pump was okay, changed ignition module, everything seemed okay. So I pulled a plug to confirm spark..

And on engine roll over water sprayed out the open spark plug hole :scared: I pulled the dip stick and my 5 qts of brand new full synthetic race oil was cloudy and 2" above full saturated with water.

I have suffered a catastrophic engine failure I fear.

Can anyone help me change a motor before Saturday Night ? I know the SHO motor has to go out thru the bottom and I can't do that in my garage. OR do you know of a garage whom would help a SHO guy ??

I have a good spare motor.

Hmm....you're in Grass Lake right?

All I need is a time(an address might help). we CAN do it in your garage(or driveway...or curbside...lol) if you have a standard cherry picker.

PM me the specifics.
If you want to take it out the bottom...we will need (really decent)jackstands and 4x4s.

I wouldn't mind helping sometime this week after work... looks like you're only a little over an hour away.

TPC (aka 93rev2sev) is coming out Tuesday Night.

I'm unhooking as much stuff as I can tonight.

If we want to make a SHO BBQ out of this, I'll have the wife fire up the grill !

You bring your mechanix gloves, I'll provide the food, beverages and entertainment (me under the hood of a car is worth the price of gas to see it)

:thankyou:

Ya...too bad it's not even for sale....yet...

I've been trying to follow but I don' think this is going to market anytime soon. Some guy in Washington built it from a real motor.

It seems like the perfect application for Chinese cast aluminum.

Holy crap :oogle: sorry to hear about your engine... :frown: strange for it to blow a head gasket like that. You must really be running the **** out of it!

I hope you get it fixed ASAP and go back to whoopin' up on some pontiac ass... :salute:

Mega Thanks to 93rev2sev & SHOracer14 for the hand last night.

We got the motor out, but ran out of time getting it back in.

That will become my Weekend project !

SHOracer14 liked the Circle Track Idea enough that he's going to give it a go on the high banks of Springport Motor Speedway shortly in a Team CRC car !

Enough good things about TPC can not be said.. top notch and a damn wizard under the hood of a SHO.

Getting dirty under the hood is always a good time... gettin' dirty on the track is something I'm looking forward to.

I think Jim should come back up, help me finish getting the motor back in and then we take it straight to the track and he races it that night !!

Talk about immediate gratification ! Plus, I can probably get the wife to grill up more steak !!

So that race was on sat. april 26 th?
I have heard about it through several people that actually race in the circuit brackets.
The rules are similar to the 4 cylinder enduro.
When i heard about the 6 cylinder, i thought to myself WOW what a SHO would do in that race against any other 6 cylinder
