Well folks.. was having a great night at Kalamazoo Speedway and then all **** broke loose.
Quick update.. K-Zoo has a new class this year called "Cyber Stock". I know, not a cool name, but it wasn't my decision and it is what it is. This is a FWD V-6 class, very similar to the class I run at Springport.
Since Springport doesn't open till this Saturday Night, I decided to run over to K-Zoo and give things a try.
A buddy of mine went with me with his car (a 94 Dodge Intrepid 3.5) and we arrived after qualifying had already completed and had to start the heats in the rear.. he started shotgun on heat 1, I started shotgun on heat 2. Having never been on the track before, we laid back a bit on the start.. got the feel for the track and then started going forward. I finished 3rd, he finished 4th.. we both had the fastest laps of our heat.
Heading into the feature, we were feeling good.. we started the feature 13th and 14th (due to not qualifying, back of the field) and by lap 4 we were in 6th and 8th place and quickly moving toward the front.
Then it happen.. car sputtered and stopped running. It would roll over but not fire. I got pushed back into the pits. I checked gas it was okay, fuel filter was okay, fuel pump was okay, changed ignition module, everything seemed okay. So I pulled a plug to confirm spark..
And on engine roll over water sprayed out the open spark plug hole :scared: I pulled the dip stick and my 5 qts of brand new full synthetic race oil was cloudy and 2" above full saturated with water.
I have suffered a catastrophic engine failure I fear.
Can anyone help me change a motor before Saturday Night ? I know the SHO motor has to go out thru the bottom and I can't do that in my garage. OR do you know of a garage whom would help a SHO guy ??
I have a good spare motor.

sorry to hear about your engine...
strange for it to blow a head gasket like that. You must really be running the **** out of it!
