My 92 SHO check engine light came on at idle then about 10 seconds later the car shut off.
When I put the key in the run position I did not hear the fuel pump buzz (usually I hear it for a couple of seconds with the key in the run position).
When I tried to perform the KOEO test immediately, the computer would not engage any codes (it almost appeared that the jumper wire was not recognized since the check engine light remained illuminated). The battery seemed strong and there was no indication of low voltage (i.e. lights were not dimming).
I'm going to have my battery recharged since the vehicle had the hazards on for approx. 4 hours.
Shouldn't the fuel pump buzz? Why would the computer not enter the KOEO test? Could I have a bad CPS or CIP sensor?
Thanks in advance for any replies, the help is much appreciated.
