Ok guys we have a classic. Car will crank, but won’t start. Noticed it started happening when I changed spark plugs. Went to fire it up nothing. It turns over and cranks the spark plugs spark I assume so anyway because they are new and now they are hot to the touch. Tried switching back to older plugs and still same result won’t start. No trouble codes or engine light.

Please don’t take this as condescending but, “started happening?” As in, cranked a bunch but did start?
If so, did it run normal after it was started?

It was running perfectly except rough idle before I assumed new plugs and coils would help with the rough idle. Changed the plugs first without changing coils to see if that was the issue. All it does now is crank but won’t run. Not condescending I am new to car as a whole.

Ok, just wanted to clarify. So it hasn’t ran again after the plug change?
Correct it didn’t run with the new plugs and it didn’t work with the old ones either. It looks like one of the plugs had a bit of blow by around it and it was a bit easier to remove than the others so I figured that make have contributed to the rough idle and low rpm roughness. In any case it started before I changed them and now after putting the old ones and new ones on neither started the car since. Getting frustrated with this car it seams to be broke down more than drivable

My first thought would be fueling but since it just quit after the plug job I’m leaning towards something stupid you may have unplugged/knocked loose during the job.

Humor me and double check the HPFP plug and corresponding wiring.
Under the round black foam on the front valve cover.

I unplugged it so that I would have more room but in the end I plugged it back in is there another connection for it I am missing?

This car is nuts. It is so finicky difficult. Spending more time sitting in the drive way broke down that running.

If you heard a sizzle, I would be checking the fuses to make sure you didn't blow one.

If this helps everything in the car works lights radio ac fan everything except being able to start so I don’t think it is the battery fuse because I am getting power everywhere else.
