i Just recently bought a new HU. And since the rear amp Input and Output wires have to be spliced together I Fabbed up a By-pass kit for free. *Caution this is for people with some time and patience*First i found a premium crappy speaker amp lying around and opened it up. I then took my Burnz-o-matic torch and took out the connectors that are soldered in. Then I soldered me in some wires(8 different colors), The 13 pin connector i used pins 1-8. The numbers are etched inside of the connectting part. And the 10 pin connector I used pins 1-7, and 10. When the wires were complete i used some RTV and spread around the soldered parts so they don't short out. With just 30 Minutes you got a custom amp by-pass kit. Hey, at least you save 30 bucks and could always go back to stock when you sell the car!
I will post pics Tomorrow!

or you could have just hooked the other connector under the dash....

i used my wiring harness from my 96 bronco (same radio almost) the one that switched factory to upgrade... and plugged into the other wiring harness under the dash, and just took the stock amp out.... had to take the stock amp out because it kept on blowing the fuse on the radio....
i have a thread with pics in it.. i'll try to find it...

Thats what keep happening to me. Are you saying you had to physically remove the amps? I had everything unplugged back there and plugged into the regular plugs and the damn fuse still blew!

Don't mind the above post... I just looked at your thread. For the life of me I can see why I'm still blowing my fuse on the Aftermarket stereo. I had the plugs pulled on all the amps in the trunk. I know the HU is good.
