I'm doing a front 60k and after cleaning the oil pump area I found a small hole. I'm wondering if this is suppose to be here or is it a crack (start).

I'm not too familiar with the oil pump design. One of the questions I have is whether there are any high pressure oil passages near/behind that hole.

I don't think so and it would be leaking by now if there were. If you want to be safe though, fill it.

I'm being a little cautious because I found evidence of a crank timing pulley vane hitting and destroying the CPS. Furthermore I found an incompetent repair that caused fretting in the the woodruff key/timing pulley contact area.
