Hey Greg once again thanks for the posts.
Well I guess first IDK anything about DBA or Cquence Rotors, that is why I asked the question, I did do a quick search and DBA are twice as much as the ones I was looking at, so are the DBA ones twice as good. I am trying to stay around a 1100 for everything (rotors/pads/calibers/etc) so that would blow through that price. Anything more an I may as well go all the way with the Willwood Kit.

Hawk or EBC, or DBA.....stay with quality and proven. I like to put slotted good rotors on front, solid stock on rear. This would cut you cost and have little performance penalty.....

Sarg, LOL OK I know this sounds like I am being an ass BUT I really am not, That was not the question I asked, it seems like this may be a new product and may be worth checking out. Totally agree with you, those are great brands that everyone knows but once upon a time they where new an someone gave them a shot. Besides I have OCD an if my rotors did not match I am not sure I could leave the driveway.

My apologies, I missed the point with poor interpretation skills, infused with my OCD frugalness, I parlayed my view of good upper middle of the road, reliability and bang for the buck. I am no longer the wildcat part chaser of old. Been there, done that (too many times) and cant afford that anymore. However it is great there ARE yous that still will test the limits of new innovation and provide the info to the list of growing potential vendors for us to do business. I am looking at EBC RK sport rotors(no slots or holes) with yellow stuff pads for the front 187 shipped. Ill report if and when I ever get them on.....good luck
FYI-EBC checks every rotor for run out balence etc....not sure of the other brands,( my fav of the past days was DBA 4000, buy once and done for life of car in my world)

SHOinVA - to answer your question directed at me - This is technically above my pay grade. I have been told by competent authority that DBA is one of, if not the only, commercially available rotor where you can have piece of mind on the metallurgy. Meaning, as I interpreted it, you are not subject to the China mix of various metals that go into the "***" when the various rotor blanks are poured.

With that said, I will repeat my earlier post - I subscribe to the Ron Porter theory. Any good quality rotor will work if you believe the "heat sync" theory. I don't know what you intend to do with your car. As I mentioned, my SHO is my daily driver business car - 40k miles in 22 months. I don't need eye candy - I need flawless uncompromised stopping ability if and when an emergency presents itself.

Enjoy your car whatever you decide - and, you are correct. DBA is about 2x the cost of a high end rotor from another vendor.

I am currently strike two with EBC....eBay shows available when I ordered Saturday night. I got email from seller today advising of a three- four week back order. Next order showing end of November for delivery. Found one last vendor that shows next week. This is strike three if this seller doesn't have in stock I will seriously consider returning the rear EBC from last week and trying another vendor. Apparently for some reason multiple vendors in US showing back order from factory.

Everywhere I check, says yellowstuff in stock-may be sent by manufacturer. .....if manufacturer is out of stock......for such a common vehicle there really isn't a lot of choices. No HPS 5.0, extreme powestops/stoptech arimids, orangestuff, or several others. And confusing with PP. .....

Final update.....EBC'S on deck both. Here is the slight dilemma. Front pads have the holes mounted for the tension clips. Rear's don't. I have the hardware kit that have the clips, shims and dust boots. Should I drill a hole in the rears to mount the clips or just run rears without? I first checked to make sure I didn't get the wrong pads but according to the EBC catalog they are correct.

I have 2013 with PP, I did new MC/PFC stock pads in rear, there were no clips. I did not check fronts yet.....

Not the clips that were the problem it is the no mounting holes for the clips. I found the hardware kit with clips but need a hole to mount the clips in....only need about a 1/8 hole on the inboard side.

Ok, received my EBC S13 kit, front EBC RK SPORT 13.9 inch zinc coated super thick rotors. Each weighs 34 lbs. And EBC YELLOWSTUFF pads. The rotors have the vented hat. I will update once I get them on....front rotors and yellowstuff-brake-pads in S13 kit 187.00 shipped. THMOTORSPORTS.COM

Follow up for any recommendations. My first two Taurus.....SEL had a spring tension clip on the brake pads. These kept tension on the pads to keep from riding on the rotors but allowed enough tension for caliper pistons to override tension without breaking clips. The SHO does not have the clips but here is where it gets interesting The Front pads have the slots for the spring clips but not the actual clips. Hardware kit has the clips but no mounting hole. Should I drill a hole (Shouldn't be more than about 1/16 to 1/8th") or run without the clips. If I don't use them what will keep the tension off the rotors? Now that I know what they are and the use for them I am skeptical of not using them. Obviously I want to keep the pads lasting as long as I can and I think this is a good step. Any ideas?

I wouldn’t bother just don’t use those tension clips. That’s honestly more work that isn’t necessary. I don’t have those tension clips and I did a whole stop tech kit on mine non-pp.

I have a 2013 +pp SHO, I just put on the EBC RK rotors and Yellowstuff pads. My pads came with backing plates and had the clips attached to the pads which clip onto to the calipers. BTW initial impressions are awesome.

Boy, I come out here once every 3-6 months, and get a bit behind!

Anyway, I assume that everyone here who needed pads & rotors already bought them by now!

I went just through my Unread since last time, but not through the earlier stuff.

Anyway, some thoughts.
Carbotech = Wonderful! Yes, dusty, but "nice" (non-corrosive) dust, and they WORK!
EBC: Yes on the Yellow. They were supposed to be better than the Reds (which have been around forever), with a bit less dust. Orange sound good, and they have a Blue, that's more track oriented ( if I bought EBC, I would buy Blue).
Reds are an old design pad, better pads out there with the same noise & dust.
Hawk: HPS are fine for pure street, but the new HPS 5.0 would be better. Really, the HP+ are great pads, and the new Street/Track also look good.
They have a Ceramic, but the Hawks, as virtually all other "Ceramic" pads, have a sprinkle of ceramic, and their main claim to fame is less dust, not
performance.

Again, on rotors. Nobody is doing 500-mile NASCAR or IMSA racing at 150+ mph for hours. BUY THE CHEAPEST BLANK ROTORS THAT YOU CAN FIND!

Spend the $$$ that you save on rotors (and brake fluid, Valvoline Synthetic DOT4 is just fine) and spend it on brake pads!
