As far as what they advertise, I have seen plenty of posts over years, across multiple forums, whereas people who chose anything below yellow, have not reported the best of experiences. Particularly the Red's. Even a few of the Green's as well.

Since I have 1st hand experience with the Yellow's, and have seen positive posts regarding the Orange's, thus why I suggest what I do.

Just don't care to see 'ya plop down your hard earned money on something you might regret later.

EBC's a great product, but matching their offerings, with most variables you've presented, is tantamount to a great outcome.

In this case, once again, Yellow's or Orange's.

Should I get the EBC Four Corner Kit with pads and Rotors or just pads and find other vendors for rotors? If option B Any recommendations? Another forum member led me to a vendor on Amazon that sells Police Package Pads to the public.

You could just go to the dealership if you want O.E.M. pads. There is nothing stopping them from selling you parts. Grab a p.i. vin and see what Ford tells you for a price.

Even Calling they still insisted that the orange stuff was not available for Taurus.....moving on.

Talked to R1 concepts out of SOCAL....
...... Ordered the R1 E line black zinc coated slotted rotors front and rear.

Found EBC yellow stuff pads on same site.

$745 for rotors and pads all four corners...minus 10% first time customer discount so about $670 with free standard shipping.....will post follow up review when on station and installed.

R1 Concepts seems to get good reviews for long term durability and customer service so I will give them a chance.

Might need to xcheck with their Mazda applications. If a Mazda uses the same pads as the SHO, then maybe the Orangestuff is available and will work. That's how I found them for my Edge (haven't purchased yet tho), xchecking with a CX7/CX9.

Anyone with a 14 SHO NON Performance Package....that has done brakes recently?

On my SEL there were two tension clips on the pads....they connected the pads together but ironically the purpose was to keep tension on the pads and keep away from rotors during normal use. The tension spring clips kept the pass from riding on the rotors but if the pedal was applied the Piston compression could overrode the spring tension. Anyone know of the clips are still used on the SHO models?

I have a 15 no pp and no they don’t use this clips just normal hardware clips the rear caliper does have the piston that requires you to turn it to make it go back into the caliper need a special tool to do that

I actually have that rear caliper compression kit. I paid about $50 a couple of years ago at Harbor Freight and have gotten at least three uses out of it. They also have one at Car Quest or your local retailer it is basically a hollowed out dice with different tabs to line up. You line up the tabs and stick a extension bar in the slot and use the wrench to tighten. Fairly simple and a lot more grip and safer than the vise grip method. I just pulled drivers caliper and the tension clip is missing. The pas still have the alignment hole for them if you were to find some though. The rear caliper compression kit has several dies to work with different models.

So we good with yellow stuff on stock rotors 2013 pp sho? Hard driven DD. Also yellow vs hawk hps....I don't care about dust, I want more performance, no noise or weird characteristics and longevity as in better then 20,000 miles.....

At the 35k service, the front pads on my 15 PP measured at 5mm. I don't like to let pads go much below 4mm (my ancient EVOC training kicking in), so I had been following this thread closely. I finally came to agreement with the Ron Porter theory - discs are giant heat syncs, cross drilling really isn't effective at the daily driver level, and put the money into the pads. Since the PP brakes seem to be fairly well upgraded for a civilian car, I opted to machine the PP rotors. After extended discussions with Performance Friction and CarboTech reps, I concluded the CarboTech XP8 compound was my choice. CT will pre-bed the pads which I had them do, install was yesterday. CT made clear - these would be a bit dusty and would be prone a bit of noise, all of which are true, all of which I can live with. The change in brake dynamic is almost unbelievable. Rotors are now bedded, the pull down is incredible. If you can tolerate cleaning your wheels a little more frequently (there is already an Audi in the stable, so what's 4 more dusty wheels?) these are awesome pads. Highly recommend CT. Thanks to Ron Porter for a reality check about priorities.

Good point and I would probably agree with both of you BUT I just can't get over how good the drilled rotors look, so even though I am usually function over form I think drilled rotors are in my future.

Quick update.....R1 concepts rotors and hardware kit arrived Thursday. EBC pads missing in action. Follow up reveals that the front we're on a 13ish week...yes 13 weeks back order. Had option of waiting or cancelling fronts or entire brake order. Shipment of rear yellow stuff pads was held pending disposition of the front order. Anyhoo... cancelled order for fronts and rears are being shipped.

Pending other EBC vendors with same back order problem and hearing the recommendation for the Carbo Techs.....does anyone have experience with Stop Tech and or Hawk pads for front? Obviously I prefer EBC Yellow stuff and would like the fronts and rears to match but need to be prepared for a long term delay.

PS the R1 rotors are thick....like Fred Flintstones Brontosaurus rib Thick.....it would be worth getting a micrometer to measure actual thickness.

Anyone know anything about Cquence rotors, they are expensive about $550 for the fancy ones on all four corners, I can't find anything negative about them but also nothing about there performance. Still just putting the package together in my head but these look nice. Thanks for any insight.
