I was thinking that too but didnt say anything... because aren't the calipers and brackets the same up until 2004ish? I figured the rotors were the same too... intresting...
My Gen 2 had 10.2's I thought... well... maybe that is just 92-93, since the knuckles are different in 94/95? I would have to check a reciept somewhere to know what I actually asked for back then... can't recall off hand..
The SLO pads fit on a SHO just fine mechanically. But there is about 1/4" of the outer diameter of the rotor that the pads don't touch.
If you have a sizeable ring of rust ont he front rotors after a few weeks you are runnign the SLO pads. I beleive it was foudn that if you use some of the parts stores lookup tools and you give them 96 SHO as the Model they will give you the wrong size (601) pads Give them 97 or later and you will get the 598's which are the proper size for the better braking performance.
I just bought new parts to 96 upgrade my 95. I'll be using Hawk (discontinued pads<$) and new Chinese 96+ rotors. Just looked this up to refresh my feeble memory...
