Hey guys, i hate to keep asking a bunch of questions, but hey. lol. So my 93 ATX with about 70,000 miles will have a slight rough idle, hot or cold. It goes up or down about 100 or 200 hundred rpms. Normal? Or it could only get worse? lol. Thanks again SO MUCH.

I would check a few things.

With 70k, when was the last time a 60k was done? If at all?

It also could be a coolant temp sensor or an iac valve.

Small vacuum leak would cause it too. The computer would try and compensate for the extra air by raising and lowering the idle and fuel. Just because the car only has 70K miles doesn't make up for age and the deterioration of rubber parts and the intake couplers and all hoses should be looked at for hardness and dry rot.

vacuum leak and bad iac are the most common problems I find with those symptoms.

The car hasn't had the 60k, i dont have the money but are planning on doing it as soon as i can. I will inspect all rubber parts under the hood tomorrow. Is it safe to test for vacuum leaks with the ol' carb cleaner spray on the hoses and stuff?

Yep carb cleaner is fine. If any of the hoses that go into the intake are hard, replace them. The hose that goes into the canister purge valve especially.
