Was driving home last night and this was the first time it has rained since the open conical has been installed. So i figured I would see if the water will splash on it. Well about a couple miles from my house the SES light comes on...damnit! I pulled the codes this morning and it says bank 1 is too rich. I didn't see anywhere in my OBD-2 program where to reset the light and see if it will come back. What the **** is the problem? Should I put the stock airbox back on? Or is an O2 sensor that has just gone? Also I noted coming in the driveway coasting the tach seems to float around a little bit haven't noticed this before
I've heard some people mention that an open conical will trigger codes because of the air temp sensor just laying around. Would an SHO shop airbox fix this?
------------------
1998 Burgandy SHO (Tan/Mocha leather)
K&N 0940 conical (What air box?)
Mobil 1 5W-30 Synthetic Oil
Cool Blue headlights (much brighter than stock and look much better)
OBD-II diagnostic Module (this thing is schweet)
Installing ride control switch soon
Upcoming Mods:
-Borla Exhaust (working with a local muffler shop on this)
-Paint brake capilers (or polish them)
-Colgan Bra
-SHO lettering on the doors
-Upgrade intake system
-and probally a few more as I think of them.
