I have a 93' ATX with 143,000 miles on it and I just took out the plugs to clean them. (only 20,000 miles on motorcraft plugs). They all had this white crusty stuff on the electrodes and the metal rim around the center electrode had carbon on it. The middle rear plug was REALLY bad. After I cleaned the plugs and started the car immediately noticed that the throttle response was AMAZING. It would also drop back to idle alot quicker. after about 5 minutes that great response was gone. PLEASE HELP ME. what are the white deposites and what do i do to fix them. I also have a really bad smell of burning plastic comming from the back left side of the engine. thanks and sorry for the long post...
