Has anyone ever retrofitted a B&M Hammer Shifter to an auto sho? The only thing that would need to be checked out is that the factory cables are utilized to retain the factory interlock mechanisms for the tranny and an o/d button is placed somewhere. I think it would be a nice mod for the auto sho's that are stuck with the factory shifter.

being one who has used just about every factory automatic center console shifter out in existance from Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Merc., Dodge....

I feel that the SHO shifter is actually pretty good. It looks nice, it doesn't look cheap as shit like a lot of console shifters do these days. It also feels good, it doesn't feel like its going to snap off or real lose when you move through the gears.

I one time had an experience where I couldn't get it out of park. 15 minutes later, had the console trim top off and used a pair of wire strippers/crimpers to disable the shift lock mechanism haha... Now it can move out of park without the brake on, and i think it even can move with the key out.... I hate shifters where you have to be on the brakes to move them anyhow. I have some common sense, its not a safety issue.

NOW, let me tell you about aftermarket shifters, especially B&M as I've installed and had to drive quite a few cars with them installed. Two words sum them up, they suck.
