Here is the aftermarket brand XYG they stuck on mine from tbe dealership... This is the 4th one from this company... First 2 had defects and did not fit correctly.. creaked terrible when you drove.... The 3rd one the installer broke while installing... And this one now has a massive crack from bottom of passenger side almost all the way up... Gasket and sensor shroud look similar to PGW....

I've heard Carlite and PGW offer the best product. Part of the problem is that this is a thinner, "sandwich" windshield.

Yea, the installer said it technically two pieces of glass with a substrate in-between..I could theorize of a bunch of reasons for this.. I would been upset but I didn't pay for any of it... The dealership did..

With my 2016 sho, once I accede 65mph, there is a persistent noise that resembles air leaking.

My local Stealership doesn't seem to care and I'm literally 3 steps away from dropping a gallon of gasoline and a match.

Had mine replaced a month ago by Safelite using an aftermarket windshield. Costs $300 said and done and an OEM would have been $370ish. I'm cheap

I think there is a TSB for air leak on the WS for the explorers? Not sure if it the same on the Taurus?

I've tried to discuss this with the dealer and nothing was done, more of less shrugged off.

I'll take note of this and do a little digging to see if there is an issue of this sort.

Here is the TSB (I think)

http://ford.oemdtc.com/1074/whistle...wl-panel-grille-cover-2011-2016-ford-explorer

I came across it in the explorer forum. I guess this was originally a 2011-2012 issues and people reporting it still hasnt been corrected at factory for the 16s and 17s.

Again, no idea if the taurus could have the same issue or not. Good luck!

At certain speeds I hear a flutter noise from the windshield. I've checked everything. Even changed the wipers

I have the same issue... It's seems to be a part of the lower shroud that vibrates..
