112 and 114 both refer to the intake air temperature sensor being shorted. I have NEVER seen a SHO motor run right when it had this code, so you must hunt down and fix the short in the intake air sensor circuit.

542 is a junk code that gets set when the engine stalls and can be ignored.

you need to fix the 112/114 codes before it makes any sense to do any more troubleshooting.

He should check the connector to the IAT sensor.

Just repaired an issue concerning a lopey idle after cooling fan shut down with no codes and instead of tracking down the culprit, which was heat related as he is experiencing, was able to replace the wire harness itself which cured it. This issue stumped me for about a year. Since the ACT runs on the main power distribution harness and his problem crops up when the engine is hot, he should be sure none of the harness is hanging down near the rear exhaust manifold or at the top of the transmission case where two main connectors come from the fuel injection harness and go into the main power harness. Those two sit close to the coolant crossover tube.

here are the codes i got after a 15 min ride to warm it up while having a fuel pressure gauge on the valve, have 30psi at idle and 35 while driving and 40 when stepping on it, fuel pressure stays 35-40 whilw the sputtering accurs

122 10 121 122 542 121 122 542, this is whith the digital scanner, i assume the 10 is a spacer number

this were pulled with the car running

i shut the car off and tried again
the scan tool scanned cyl 6 on the screen and no other codes, im lost with this thing

Get a NEW TPS connector and rewire it properly. Problem solved.

my experience is that code readers on obd1 pcm's are a real crap-shoot - most don't read right. just count pulses, then you know you have it right.

the '10' is a spacer that divides the "currently present" codes from the "stored" codes. it is actually a single pulse, but the code reader apparently adds the "0" to it.

that means while you were pulling the codes, the tps signal is less than the minimum. this could be due to a bad connection, or a bad sensor. you will need to get rid of this code, as it will not allow the car to run properly while it exists.

121 says the tps is out of range for self-test.
122 says the tps is below the minimum value allowed.
542 gets set if the engine stalls and can be ignored.

the reason the engine will not rev properly is that the tps information is not getting to the pcm.
