Hi guys! My 90 is down AGAIN. Ran the KOEO codes and thats where the 24 and 96 came from. Code 24 is the IAT and the 96 is fuel pump monitor circuit shows no power - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits. Naturally I checked the fuel pressure which was good. Here is the story behind it. The wife drove it about 10 miles. Parked it for 3 hours and came back out to a no start. I get there and with her sitting in the seat reach in and turn the key and it starts right up. So I drive it to the store and we spend 2 hours there walk out and OMG another no start. Tried several times let it set for 30 minutes and tried again and still no start. Even tried my spare DIS module and no luck. Didin't have a timing light or long screw driver with me to check spark. Leave it there over night and go back with a tow truck this evening and I start the car :madflame: and drive it up onto the roll back. Get home start it up and drive it off the roll back :madflame: . Parts history, new CPS (wells su242) less than 2 months ago along with water pump (reman cardone) during the front 60k. Fuel pump 2 years ago but only 2 months of driving on it recently. Had a fuel issue before that and it turned out to be the ground wire for the ccrm had been moved and was dirty, cleaned and replaced also added a second ground wire. Nearly 2 years picking through the wiring harness from front to rear looking for the fuel pump circuit failure. To find that the previous owner had moved the ground wire because the bolt hole had stripped out and they didn't scrap the paint off when they put it on. I would get enough of a ground to light my test light but not run the fuel pump, fan, or a/c.

also, tried to do a search for a code 96 and code 24 I think it returned every post in the entire forums due to the word code :( .

The two fault codes are not relevant. The IAT code is there because it's cold (under 50F), the other one is there because the engine stalled at some point.

Sorry to say it, but your CPS remains the most likely choice. You'll have to verify the "No Spark" situation to be certain. Carry your timing light and a fuel pressure gauge with you (along with your cell phone and AAA card).

I'd investigate the CPS wiring harness routing (rubbing against a belt?), the proper installation of both the CPS, and that the harmonic dampener is fully seated so that the flags properly go through the CPS.

The CPS is still under warranty so that isn't a big deal. Although doesn't it usually store the code 14 when they have issues? The dampener is on right and farily sure of the routing of the cps wires. I won't know for sure until I pull the covers again. Had lots of practice with this on my first sho. Replaced it twice in a week and got to watch the dealership replace it the 3rd time when they said they have never had 2 bad like that back to back. Long story there... But I worked for a muffler shop that did alot of work for the local dealership. I had them check out the no start on my sho that ended up being a CID sensor. And the dealership swore it was the CPS.

My big question here is anyone ever have one go out that fast? The purchase date was 11-21-09. Any issue that could cause it not send the signal? I found some trash around the last one I put in there. I had thought I blew it out and got it clean enough but now I am questioning it.
