I mounted my fuse link on a metal bracket right in front on the strut tower casing. Then ran the wire through a hole right there and into the opening for the strut above the fender splash guard. I wired it up good out of the way of the spring and then ran it through the fender to the inside of the passanger door. I then drilled a hole in the crimped section below the floor/door molding and passed the wire to the inside of the car. From there on out it was just a matter of removing the molding, pulling back the carpet and running the wire back to the trunk. Make sure you have plenty of wire. You should also run your blue on/off wire down that side as well. Run your signal wires down the other side of the car. The power wire is not effected at all when you open and shut the passanger door. Just make sure its real tight. I ran the power wire on my firebird under the car to the back hatch area and never had any problems out of it. So, you dont really have to go through the firewall. Good luck.

running the wire outside the unibody can have a severe impact if it were to get sliced in an accident....
SolidState said:think for a second that you have run the wire under the car. and you get into an accident...the 4g (or 2g, or 0g) wire you have run gets cut, and there is a fuel leak...
fuel + spark = boom.
or, alternatively, you run it outside the firewall and between the unibody and outter fender. There is a minor accident, and the wire gets cut. typically, your fuse should pop and everything would be okay. But in the off chance something is faulty, your battery explodes.
