Well I was curious about my alternator, as I can hear the bearing in it now, and know sooner or later its gunna need a rebuild again. But my question is this. I have 25% reduced UDP's and a 92 alternator which *should put out a max of 90 amps? Well at 2000 RPM mine was testing 51.2 amps. Is that about right? Seems 25% less of 90 would be more like 75amps. Or was the engine speed still a little low for such a test?

I have the SHO SHOP 3 UDP's on both my cars. Off the top of my head, the alt puts out full charge just off idle, like 1200-1500 RPM.;)

Hmm... guess I only have about 1/2 of my brush material left then .. :) I haven't fixed it yet, because I kinda like the whine it puts off. Kinda sounds like a 6lb blower. :)
