I believe all you would need for the PS2 is to run the Video/Audio output to the CVA's input box("brain"). Now I am pretty sure that Alpine will only work with another Alpine headunit which is AI-Net compatible, unless there is a unversal adaptor for AI-Net for other headunits you will not be able to use your current Kenwood headunit.

yea i am in the process of getting my cva-1000 together i am been trying to get an eq or cross over for the subs since it only has 2 sets of preouts. I do think u will have to ditch the kenwood and either get a cd changer for it. thats what i am doing. But alpine is only compatible with alpine!! Like edien said.. hope this doesn't bust your bubble. Just trying to help a fellow sho and cva-1000 owner out! :D

I'd recommend the winning and still Alpine reigning champ for EQ's, the Alpine ERA-G320 14-band digital EQ thumbs_u .

thanks guys the reason i ask is because i may be trading my rc car for one and am debating on either keeping the cva and installing it or selling it and keeping my kenwood unit and just buy an lcd screen for the ps2

I sell these things on a daily basis, you can hook an aftermarket cd/dvd player to it, audiovox makes a nice DVD player you can hook to it, MVDVD4, its costs around 250-300 i can get one for you :)

RI-SHO,

That setup is nice. I am running the same setup in my 94 ATX.

As far as the CVA1000. It won't fit in the stock location. The screen hits the dash. I was going to trade the EATC with the deck and put the CVA1000 up there but it isn't the easiest thing to do.

Just my .02 cents.

I've got a Pioneer AVX-P7000CD in the bottom DIN slot and a Pioneer in-dash DVD player in the top one...just barely fits if you move the LCD out a half inch.

All i got to say about that above pic is wow!! Who's sho is that Edien? I was wondering about the cva-1000 fitting in the factory slots. But I didn't know how much work it took to move the EATC down to the bottom some where....

I have several pics of that nice custom SHO, all from a Tauri car show Mikey I believe hosted and took pictures of.

I dont have many pics of the EATC or wiring diagrams except for this:

From the little I can see behind it, the hardest thing about moving the EATC would be making the wires reach that low or if there slack getting them around all the stereo wiring.

if you probably just splice the wires you should be fine btw can anyone tell me about how much i would get for a CVA1000 on ebay?? i think i might keep my kenwood to avoid anyproblems and just buy an extra screen.

Most important thing is the vaccum wireing.

you either have to re-route it through the dash, or splice, and splicing Vaccum wires isnt easy.

It will reach to the bottom din slots where the radio are, but down past the shifter I doupt.

You still want them? Or have you already seen the post/thread in the "Open SHO Related Forum"?

See i think u may have enough room on the top slot. On the gen 2 we have more of a ledge to clear for the cva-1000 like the ac vents. But i bet i'll be in the moving the eatc down period really soon. When my bubble burst. (finding out that the cva-1000 will not fit in the din slots!!)

But let me know how u do move the eatc down i'm really putiing money down that i am going to have to move it down. Has any one ever done a write on how to do it?

Thanks
