ok no pics for the time being kinda ran into a family emergency (grandfather isn't expected to live through the night) so i had to help my father get rdy to take a flight down....neway i got what i could get done and hit some snags along the way. First off i do not have the in dash mounting hardware however the bottom lip of the CVA housing hold it in there nicly. When the screen komes out (not sure if you have used you CVA yet) it has three position on angled slightly downward one straight up and down and one angled slightly up the monitor fits in the angled down ward and presses up against the vent kinda hard in the straigh up and down position...now the snags i caught...prolly the thing that these all stem from is the fact that the "brain" unit is in the trunk. The antenae connector is way to far away so i made the mistake of trying to splice it so now i cannot get any radio whatso ever, the rca cables i ran for the video are male and the playstation is male also and i only had one female to female connector no big deal i will pick one up tomorow. and i do not have the indash mounting equipment and no cd changer and what not so i need to wait until i can get that stuff if someone could tell me the modle numbers for the indash stuff and possibly an antenae replacement wire it would be great neway when my dad gets back with his digicam i will post pictures and hopefully by then i can get my hardware

Like i said!! :D make sure you have all the parts!! J/k man here use this web site. This is from alpines web site. If you are looking for replacement parts at the alpine site. It sends you to this site https://www.pacparts.com/ It should have what u are looking for. just go to alpine and then type in cva-1000 for the model number and it will bring up what ever they carry for the cva-1000 but it should have it. good luck. This web site seems pretty good. i ordered the sleeve and trim ring and power cord from the site. (the sleeve is what mounts it to the dash) what u need i think... O and y don't u pull out your center concole and put your brain down below there. like right below your cigrate lighter is at. I know in the gen2's you have alot of room down there. thats where i'm going to put mine at. instead of putting it in the trunk! Good luck post if u need any more info!!

Just wait till my SHO actually runs and I get what I want for this spring. Top of the line Alpine everything for my SHO, including satelite alarm, hehe all at wholesale cost.

How does a IVA-C801 for $750 sound? :p

well i have some good news and some bad news: bad news is the the screen sits right up against the dash bezel and tilts downward which makes it hard to see...on top of that i did some pricing and everythingand found out that it would be a cheaper route to buy a seperate screen and put that in with my kenwood head unit. So now the good news...i took out the CVA and put back in my kenwood kdcx817 (man i missed it alot) and went today with my christmas cash and bought a 7.2 inch power acoustic lcd for $225 brand new this thing is great much better than the little CVA screen i will post pics tomorow
