'92 MTX. I just replaced my cam sensor last week and it has been running like a charm. Cleared up my knocking and hard start after shutdown. Today I went to start and it almost sounded like it tried to backfire, then kind of wheezed on cranking a few secs and no start. Did a "WTF" and tried again and had to pump/floor the pedal like the old start after shutdown routine. Finally started and had what seemed like a lot of smoke initially. After that it seemed to run fine again, and had no problems with hot starting either. I don't have a check engine light or anything. Can you get codes during cranking?
Could this be related to the cam sensor, or other problem rising up to bite me?
