This constitutes maintenance and electrical parts, so I think it fits here :)

So I replaced my headlights last night w/those much hyped Sylvania Silverstars, and you all are night - they do actually make a huge difference ... so huge, that now people are flashing me cuz my headlights are out of aim. Anyway, does anyone know the standard instructions for aiming headlights, something like 30 ft away from a flat surface, both lights should aim a certain number of feet off the ground?

thanks!

30 feet is too far away. Try 15 feet. Then you can see the excat beam pattern.

15ft sounds good to me - I actually have that kinda space ... but how high up should the lights be aimed in the vertical ... or can that even be adjusted?

Thanks!

I'd do a search FOR you, but I'm too tired. Goto Google.com and search for "Aim headlamp". You'll find plenty of sites that describe the correct procedure.

Just travel to an unlit road at night, and have your tools ready. Park where it's flat, and adjust until you can see the road lit up properly.

We don't need no stinkin' procedures!
