Hey all -

I'd like to eventually put in my 200 watt aftermarket amp, but since there's already a factory amp (non-JBL car), is it possible to piggyback somehow the amps as to avoid wires running down each side of the car? And when you install an aftermarket head unit, does the factory amp still work?

d*mn your pretty close to me, we all should meet up sometime....in my regular taurus that I had, there was another wiring harness in the dash behind the radio that bypassed the factory amps and went right to the speakers put there for an aftermarket headunit. Take a look at your back speakers, if there is two wires going in the positive and 2 wires for the negative, you should be dual wired...

as far as using the wires to power an aftermarket amp in your trunk, I wouldnt, but you can...your choice....
