I'm guessing that what they're talking about is the touchscreen unit at the top center of the dashboard. If I'm wrong feel free to disregard it, however, if you don't mind pulling the interior apart yourself it looks like it should be a fairly straightforward job you can do with hand tools any auto shop would have. The video I showed here is a SYNC 2 to SYNC 3 conversion, however, if its just a case of replacing OEM for OEM I don't see why you would have to reprogram the computer like you would for SYNC 2 to 3. I'm leaving this here because if I'm right I don't think this justifies $400 in labor.
