ABS light came on before but when I restarted the vehicle it went out. I started it again test drove it and light came back on. I used the snapon modis to find the codes:

in memory- C1095 Hydraulic motor circuit fault

KOEO- B1596 continuos service

I feel that the motor has quit on me which sucks since I have been trying to get this thing on the road and now this will stop me from getting inspected.

So what do you think?

There is a short ground wire that goes to the frame from the motor. Make sure it is in good shape.

I found the ground and cleaned it up but the ABS light just comes on and stays on. I pulled the ABS module connector and checked for corrossion and it looked ok. When I use the snapon modis it will read the data display and it will clear codes but the light will not go out and the codes are immediately back..... fuses are all good. I guess maybe I have a bad ABS module unit..... oh boy I hope its not expensive or I will be forced to sell the car.

I got mine from Paul for $50. I believe he has another one? (I think I saw him advertising it in another post anyway).

I had the same error on my car, albeit it was intermittent, and it fixed the problems right up! (As well as the tach going stupid problem too)

One thing I might want to add (and you might already know this), but I would definitely replace the abs module from the top. It's a breeze if you get the battery tray out (not that hard). I'm not sure how Paul managed to remove it from the bottom to tell you the truth. I looked at it after I replaced it.. and he must have small hands or something!

Preston-When I needed an SAI pump my buddy thought he might have had one from the neighbors taurus, turns out it was the abs unit. I was going to toss it, you want it's yours, if it's right. In ny (and this state is the 2nd worse) an abs light won't cause it to fail since it's not emisssions.

ABS overactive. They activate when I am on dry flat ground and at very low speeds as I am coming to a stop. I had my mechanic look for codes and there are none as well asno ABS light coming on. It's not rotors, its definitely the ABS system being activated when it doesn't need to . Any Ideas on what I can check?

Check your ABS sensors on each wheel, make sure they are clean, and make sure the exciter rings are good on each hub (not bent or anything)
