Well this is the second time in the week that I have had the ABS light come for me.

The first time it came on for me was during about midway of an hour and half drive to upstate New York. When I got to my destination I shut the car off and restarted it back up to see if the light would come back on, and it did not.I didn't notice any abnormal flashing when I started the car back up, and everything seemed normal with no flashes of the ABS light.

Again today I got a steady ABS light, but this time at idle with the trans in park while sitting in a parking lot. And again I shut the car off, fired her back up and everything seems normal.

It was hot on both of the days. Any suggestions on what it could be? Any help is appreciated.

it could be one of the abs sensors located at one of your wheels. check each sensor's connection for loose broken or exposed wiring.

These cars are notorious for the ABS module being faulty.
You need to get a scanner that can read the ABS codes to see whats going on. My 98's ABS light comes on all the time. RF speed sensor. Nothing wrong with the sensor or the wiring. Just a bad ABS module.
