I have a 2016 work adaptive cruise control and climate controlled seats.
The first issue is that the adaptive cruise control/forward collision system doesn't work. I get a notification on the dash regarding the forward collision system when I start it up. The trouble code states that it needs an alignment. I run the alignment with Forscan, it'll work for awhile until I go over a bump. I'm thinking maybe a loose ground, but don't know where to start looking.
The second problem is the temperature controlled seats don't work, neither the cold or hot. I've checked the connections and fuses. And ideas on where to start troubleshooting this?

are there any codes for the seats in forscan? mine keeps shutting off on high settings due to overheating, another thing to check is the air filter for the seat. allegedly, there is a small filter under the seat, I have yet to hunt it myself but if its clogged it could cause some issues i'd imagine.

as for the adaptive cruise have you inspected the radar unit itself behind the bumper? i'd imagine if the device itself is loose it could cause a problem, if i hit a bump hard enough my car throws the same message on the dash, it goes away after restart but in your case its worth a physical inspection to make sure everything is tight in its spot, then id trace the harness.

Thanks for the response, I'll look for the filter for the seats. I don't get any codes for the seats.

I have inspected the radar module, it appears to be tight and the harness is snug. I didn't get a chance to trace the harness while it was on the rack. I was busy working on other things.

Those filters don't filter much of anything. As far as the seats, check the harness/connector under the front of the passenger seat and see if it has burned up. It's a pretty common issue on these cars. Here's the link on it:

From what I was reading - it can burn up because the filter media gets clogged - puts extra strain on the blower - and helps cause that issue with the connector. SO I would clean the filter - water - or just replace to that newer style to avoid putting extra stress on the blower.

When my heated seats stopped working I just about went crazy trying to figure out why. The link I posted fixed it, but not because the harness was burned up. Somehow, the harness connector had just worked itself loose enough that the seats weren't turning on. I unplugged it, put some bulb grease on the pins and plugged it back in. Been working fine ever since. If the seat indicator lights up and you can hear a click under the passenger seat when you turn them on, they should work.

These are notoriously crappy heated seats since they don't have an element and just circulate cabin air. By the time they do much of anything I'm already at work unless I have remote started the car and let it run for 5+ minutes.
