A/C system interchanging

nOObie here. i just bought a 95 ATX yesterday with a/c problems. my question is... do all sho a/c systems interchange? or are they generation specific?
the reason i ask is b/c i can buy a wrecked 91 very very cheap. and the car i bought needs the comp. orfice line, and evaporator(most likely). i appreciate the help.

Nope, there are several different setups. ATX cars are different than MTX cars and in 94 Ford switched from R12 to R143a refridgerent so the A/C for those cars is different also.
