Hi im new to the forums just have a quick question. I have a 98 sho black with grey int. 64k miles. Im hearing a rattling noise in the back left and I have tracked it down to some sort of small spring with a rod going through it that is connected to the body and a block where 4 brake lines go to. The rod that goes in between two bushings is now clanking against the metal i think. Light rattle. Anyone have any idea what im talking about ? I have pics just need to learn how to upload them. Then just today my steering started making a loud whining noise when I would turn the steering wheel. Any clues on what that could mean? I also caught the IMRC just in time. It is literally on the last wire. All frayed up and only a strand holding it. Have pictures of that too. Will get all this fixed, Im still proud Ford owner. Has anyone gotten FORDS fix for the cam problem? If they have how have they held up? Loctite or something I think they use. They repair airplanes with that stuff. I would be hesitant on welding them though. Thats permanent. Hope I dont fall victim to faulty cams. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about your rattle, sounds to me like you are talking about your sway bar endlink, but you need to get the pictures up so we can see what you are talking about.
Check your power steering fluid level, low fluid can cause the whine.
The most effective (and cost effective) way to prevent cam failure is to have your cams welded, not locktited or pinned. Read up on www.v8sho.com for more details.
Keep us posted, and get those pictures up. :thumb:

What you are describing is your brake bias valve. About a $100 part from Ford if the rattling is bothering you enough to address it. Steering noise sounds like low fluid, check your PS fluid level.
