Hey guys, i just joined this forums because i have a huge problem with my sho. I have a 95 atx with 109,*** on it. The car ran fine for awhile but now every other day it seems to stall when im driving and then not start, it will turn over and crank just not start. But if you wait a couple of hours it always starts up again. I replaced the cam position sensor thinking that was the problem. The fuel pump is still working because i can hear it when cranking the key. I dont understand what could be causing this. Has anyone had a similar problem this is very frustrating. I even brought it to a local mechanic and he couldnt figure it out. PLEASE HELP!

Could be one of several things, but it's usually a bad crank sensor.

Pull your codes to see if the PCM has identified anything.

Crank Sensor, water pump is probably leaking. When the water pump leaks it drips right on the crack sensor. Once it gets warm then the car will not start until it get a chance to cool back down.

time for a front 60k. since you'll be in there changing your crank sensor, may as well get the timing belt and water pump too. and next time, just come here instead of letting a mechanic scratch his head trying to figure out why you put that engine in a taurus.

Since it drips on the crank sensor when it leaks, it's a pretty safe bet that it's right above the crank sensor....

Go pull your codes. Do not start guessing without any data.
