Hello,
I have a 1993 SHO 3.2 Auto, with 186,000 miles.
The motor just killes one day while at idle. It has been starting harder and harder lately by turning over longer. I started it it was running poor so I reved it up, came back to idle I backed out and it killed while just rolling in gear.
I have no fuel pump noise when ignition forward and I have no fuel pressure guage.
I tried starting fluid and it just will not fire. I replaced the coil and checked the ECM and it was fine.
Before I jump into dropping the tank to replace the fuel pump:
Could a bad Crank Sensor cause it to not even fire?
My tach does go up when I am turning it over, I heard the cam sensor is ok then?
I would appreciate all your help! It's 10 degrees so I'd rather not lay under the car dropping the tank for no reason ;)

If no pump "noise" when the key in on, it will be fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or maybe the "roll over" relay in the trunk in triped. You can run a hot wire back to the trunk and hook into the wire going out of the "roll over" relay and put 1 volts strait to the pump to see if it works. If it does then it most likely be the fuel pump relay up under the hood.

Thanks for all the responses? I figured out my problem and maybe this will help other SHO-GOERS. I had no spark, no fuel (when ignition was turned on), cranks over just fine. I tested the control module, coil, timing belt, crank sensor, cam sensor, spark plugs, wires and fuel pump relay and they all check out fine. I hot wired the fuel pump and it did work. Could not pull codes, code reader would not connect to the computer.

The solution: A 10AMP Fuse! Under the hood in the fuse box, there are 2 mini 10amp fuses, 1 for the ignition coil and one for the accessory feed. The Ignition coil fuse was blown, so I swapped the other one and it started right up.

Weird that that fuse would shut down the computer and the fuel system too?
