alright guys im lost and not sure what to look for. 93 sho atx 3.2. car was running great all night at the races and i side swiped another car and it just died. got it off the trailer today and just messing around with it unplugged the coil to test for power and unplugged the ignition module to test for power. i have rpms while cranking on the tach. so i have power to the coil and power at the ignition mod. after plugging them back in it fired up for about 10 seconds and just shut back off. possibly a computer problem? im not sure what im looking for to test. all fuses are good. any help would be greatly appreciated i have a race the 10th of july and would like to bring the car back out.

also are there any interchanges on the ignition module? i dont feel like spending 150 bucks on a new one.

I'm not a mechanic but I'd say it's the crank sensor. I've had 3 bite the dust on 3 different SHOs.

you'll have spark with a dead crank sensor...it'll just be sparking at the wrong time. silly question...did you check for fuel? you might've tripped the fuel cut-off in the trunk.

well i bypassed the fuel shut off and its got plenty of fuel pumping into the motor. it just plain dones't have spark. i was leaning toward the ignition module.

the car honestly was at about 2500-3000 rpms and just shut off like i turned the key off.

you're about two hours from me, depending on construction and northbound traffic up 31...throw in lunch and a tank of gas and i'll haul up there with a known good crank sensor and we'll fiddle with it some.

im looking for some other parts too like a new computer mines got a hole in it lol, maybe a balancer. how can i test the sensors and modules? i ordered a chiltons manual to get some specs to test stuff. i pray its not the crank sensor that means i have to replace the balancer and time these damn things. its broke and temp welded together to get me through the race last night.

just thought a pic would help show what happend. car+car at 40+mph hurts

timing it's not difficult as long as you have the lower timing cover. getting at all that shit in an ATX on the other hand...

the lower timing cover has the timing mark for the crank. it's a pain in the ass to get it timed right without those marks. have you checked to see if any fuel lines are crimped?

Check your fuses & the 12v connection to the fusebox under the hood.
I've blew a fuse & my car wouldn't start sometimes & my connection was loose.

gotta love a simple fix...though truth be told, I might've been just a tad annoyed if I would've made the trip for that.
