Im sitting on the porch drinking a Henry's, and I notice that the 91 sits way lower on the wheel int the rear than the 93 does. Is this due to saggy ass syndrome, or is it just different suspensions? I personally don't like the dropped look. I would much rather have it sit like it was supposed to. Any thoughts post up please! :sun:

Its the fenders that do that. The 1st gens always look like they have SAS. Best way to solve it ive seen is to lower the front some so the whole looks the be "low".

OK. Thank you! I am now looking over all the suspension info. I bought the Monro quick struts. I am now thinking like I made a mistake. I think the new springs are sprug for the the stock SLO. I will have to do more investigations.

Well CRAP! I just checked the parts numbers on the quick struts. I bought the GL quick struts! Now what to do? Just change out the springs? Since I'm not doing any performance driving maybe switch them out anyway? I did like how the LX I had rode. It was nice and smooth. Any suggestions?

The part number in the books at advance is the same for all tauri.. only way to get sho springs are to get one out of a yard of find some nos stuff.. Moog/sensatrac is the way to go for a lowered look with a stock ride.

So basically we're screwed if we want to find brand new SHO springs aside from NOS.

I've been tempted several times to order the springs that SHOSource sells and I think they might be the closest thing to the SHO specific springs.

I have relatively new Monroe Sensatrack Quickstruts on my Green SHO, They were pretty good, even on a track. I am swapping out the TRW spring with some NOS Eibach's I had laying around.

You might want to cut off a coil to let it sit down a little lower, or buy an aftermarket spring and use it with the Monroe Strut.

On the other hand I never owned an SHO with Tociko's or Koni's so I don't know what I'm missing. I really don't want to FEEL every crack in the pavement but I do want it to corner flat. Simply adding 24/26 swaybars made a huge difference on the track.

I have the SHO coils still. They are not bad at all. The ride was stiff and handled great. I am going to run the quick struts in my 91. If I don't like the ride I will change them out. Right now I will have a nice smooth ride of the quick struts. I don't race, or drive my car hard. This one is more of a garage whore anyways.

They'll sit higher, my 91 is tokico intrax front with Monroe/moog cargo coil in the back and I still enjoy the raked look......and the fact that my rear tires aren't rubbing the fenders....

your right, you will...i have quick struts with eibachs in my 91...rears are very "bouncey" unless you have weight on the rear, oh, and as far as i"i dont race or drive my car hard"...lol...i dont believe that...at 183k, i pound my car...it may give up some day, just not today, or tomorrow...:omgsho:

I noticed the same issue with the monroe rears....it just took high speeds before they'd start to bounce.

But now that I've snagged a set of koni/ground controls, I hope I won't have that problem anymore. I still want the raked look though.

AN UP-DATE: After installing the new quick struts all the way around, I now wish I took the time to change out at least the front springs. The front sits 2 1/2 "s higher, and are really bouncy.( My Dad even made a comment about the ride and look) They just might need some breaking in. However I have plenty of time to do a 1k mile round trip next week. After the trip up to the in-laws, I will know what I am going to do with the suspension. As it is now It rode much nicer with the old struts.

500 miles latter, the ride is still bouncy. I can tell a big difrence between the new and old. Im going to pull the struts out and install the old springs. the front end is just to bouncy for me.
