I have posted a few times before with this problen, but haven't fixed it yet. I had several mice eat the wiring from the body to the starter solenoid. I fixed the wiring (the way I thought it should be) and the damn thing won't shut off! I have replaced the ICRM, ignition switch, and computer to no avail! When I shut the key off, the gauges shut off, but the car keeps running! Anyone out there know how I can trouble shoot this problem? Am I the only one that this has happened too? This is a nice 90 SHO Black exterior with red stripe, moon roof, and full mocha leather. I really hate to part this baby out because I can't fix this stupid problem! The car just runs too good! Probibly the fastest stock SHO I have owned! Any of you grandmasters of the SHO wiring out there know how to help me? Bizzy? Sdpatt? Drivinhard? Mikey? Please help out the 04 Hard Luck Award Winner Out, and yes, I was the green plus with the brakes on fire at Thunder Hill! :D

I'm assuming you mean the engine will not shut off when you turn the key off...

It sounds like your ignition switch has a short to ground. Break out the multimeter and start backprobing wires. Start at one end and work to the other. Another idea is that the contacts in the ignition cylinder are bad and the switch and cylinder assembly must be replaced.

Does the car have a heated windshield on it?...Or did it have one originally and the windshield was replaced at one time?...If it does or did have one,it might be possible that the heated windshield module is keeping power supplied to the START/RUN circuit after turning the key off.If you cant tell if it did have ,look up inside right front fender for a relay box,I think there was a sticker on the side of it that read "CAUTION HIGH VOLTAGE",also a switch in I/P to turn it on.
Normally when this would go bad the car would stop charging, but anything is possible, the module is on the same circuit that IGN RUN circuit is.Try unplugging the Heated Windshield Control module located under the dash on the L/S of steering column and see what happens.

Did/does the car have a remote start. Maybe something in that could be triggerd, or not uninstalled right allowing certain wires to short together
