I would think you will be waiting a few months longer. Shogun ordered his SHO 21 Dec. 2010 and heard that it was to be delivered the week of March 21...still waiting, the car has yet to show at his dealer. Dealer also claims that he can't find any info on the car. Good luck.
Thanks for the quick reply. I expected a response of a delay, but not anywhere nearly that long. If it truly is months, I hope it ends up being a 2012 model. Really surprised there is not any info on the car this late in the game.

Do you know the current build status in Chicago for the Taurus? I placed an order on March 25 for a SHO and still no word on a build date. Thanks

Apparently mine is built but missing a part (from Japan) for the rear transaxle and has been sitting since March 11th waiting for said part.
I'm due to hear something from my dealer later this week and will post up their reply.
Ford must have an alternate supplier by now (one would think).

I'm not expecting to, and damned well better not, wait much longer. I'm already expecting Ford to sweeten the *** a little over my almost 4 month wait. :grrr::grrr:

-well with a family of 5, six sometimes, a taurus was not feasible for me, so on monday i placed an order here at work for a Flex. i soooooooooo much wanted to get it with a EcoBoost engine, but just couldnt afford the 6-700 payments! so it will be just a NA 3.5l.
BUT............if anyone has a set of 20" SHO rims they need to sell, lmk...i think i'm going to go that route on wheels to replace the stock 18s......

SHO Builder - it is pretty cool to hear from the horse's mouth what is going on up at the Ford plant. I am building my first SHO, a 95 ATX and love it without even driving it yet. My wife and I even went and test drove a new one with hopes of purchasing it. We couldn't get it because we really need a vehicle that seats six, so I am flying to tuesday to Virgina Beach to get a Loaded 08 Limited Explorer AWD. Once again I enjoyed this post and think it is great that you are able to provide some information on such a mysterious subject. Keep up the good work at Ford and keep building the best Cars and Trucks America has to offer!

Have you thought about the 20" wheels off the MKT Lincoln... Saw a set on EBAY (supposedly new) for $800. They have rounded polished multi-spokes.

I have Flex 20's in garage. Still mounted with Goodyear RS-A & TPMS. Have about 5,000. mi on tires. Currently running custom 18"s with Conti DWS summer tires. Only reason I haven't sold them, was needed to make a trip to IA this winter, and needed M & S for trip.

Seems this parts delay will lead to fewer 2011's? My local dealer, one of the top 10 in the nation, hasn't had but three 2011's so far. Won't the 2012's production start up soon?

yes, my '11 is built but waiting for transport (last report). My dealer is quite large too and he's had "very few" so far.

'12's should start August/Sept.

yeah, i saw them EBB...i'm not a fan of multi spokes though. i like plain and simple 5 spoke wheels. and......i figured with all the Flexes running on the OE 20s' , i'd find something different for mine, and thought the simple 5-spoke of the SHOs would be a different look on one.....

Will be interesting to see the production numbers on the 2011's. That reminds me, I need to scan the 2010 production numbers and post it here somewhere...

Please do post again.
