40mm BBB Plates

Does anyone know where I can get some plates for my BBB's? The ones that came with mine are round, I want some eliptical ones for a better fit.

From research I've done for another project, I've found that a lot of downdraft carbs have 40mm bores.

Weber plates are round. I've rebuilt them before.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find elliptical plates...

I wouldnt worry about it too much, even if they have realy poor fit it will not matter as the only plate that meters is the throttle body plate.

Heck you could leave the plates completely out, drill holes in them, shape them like a star and it will run fine, it will just lose some low end grunt.

mine are from a webber DCOE 40mm carb i thnink... i ought them used from some place in italy or somthing.

Same here. I believe the plates were round, but the "tapered edge" was of different degrees.
